Brother Kevin Landry's 1997 Yamaha Virago Here is my Yamaha 1997 Virago. I bought it about 8 months ago off another Canadian expat living in South Korean. It didn't look like this at all. I new the virago was a decent bike and the Korea chapter Widow sons has a rule bikes must be over 750CCs to join. So I up graded from my 250 Hyosung Mirage. The guys all had Harleys though so I felt outclassed. After picking up my new "FRANKEN BIKE" I stopped off at our Chaplain's house and ran into our Vice President as well. They were both really impressed with the modifications.
Mu Mechanic Su Seok, had a lot of ideas and
after we ordered new handle bars from Japan and a new gas tank
we had the seat changed, cut off the back fender, ordered new
shocks from Japan, new brake lever, and a new clutch lever. He
picked up a new mirror and pained a lot of things. Mounting the
licence plate on the left hand side and adding a LED brake light
really set it off. Removing the front tack and odometer cleaned
up the front a lot and new covers were made for the battery with
sheet metal and covered in a carbon plate.
I plan on getting one of my forks repaired in
the spring and will put on a new set of tires. I was really
impressed with the work and I am probably most impressed
with the exhaust made in the shop. If any brother needs
consulting or is looking for advice contact Su Seok. He got me
out of a bind when I decided to just cut a bunch of wires and
remove unneeded bits.
