Each of us live in
regions, states or countries that have specialty
recipes or methods of cooking for traditional dishes for
their area.
For example, in South Africa they have a Braai
(barbeque) or a potjiekos.
Italy
Louisiana also has its own style of Cajun foods and Creole foods.
These types of food are from different cultures and are
not interchangeable as you would think.
Chicago has its own
style of fast foods such as the Chicago Hot Dog, the
Itailian Beef and Sausage Combos, Gyros and more that
are the best in the world.
New York has a style created by the
immigrants who cam in the US through New York. here are
many street vendors in New York with many choices of
ethnic foods.
Southern Style Cooking has its own styles and
traditions.
Italian cooking:
There is no such thing as popular
Italian foods that are common all over Italy. Italian
cuisine is
strongly influenced by local history
and traditions
What is the cultural food or food style of the region you live
in?
We'd like to publish the food style of your geographic
area. Please
email us
with recipes and traditional dishes
of the area you live in. Please include your
geographical area and a little info about it.
Widows Sons are
encouraged to participate in the building of this
cookbook, and are welcome to use these recipes
for their events and dining pleasures.
When a recipe is received it will be categorized by
geographical area and a geographical link page will be
added. The WSMag staff
will select a recipe monthly to feature in the WSMag.
Should your recipe be selected we will send a "Taste
of the Widows Sons" Award Certificate to the Grand
Chapter of the brother who contributed the winning
recipe.
